Shot over a spectacularly ambitious fourteen-day journey, ‘The Best Man I Can’ follows film-maker Lawrence Barraclough as he travels from Land’s End to John O’Groats, finally reaching Tokyo, in order to fulfil his Best Man duties.
It’s an emotional voyage, as Lawrence looks at attitudes to love and marriage in the UK and Japan; and the physical ambitiousness of the journey takes a heavy toll, as his own marriage is simultaneously falling apart.
By making this film for his best friend’s wedding, can he save his own marriage?
